Sandvik is participating at LIGHTer summit 2023 in Gothenburg, Sweden this spring.

The LIGHTer summit is an event in Swedish, which is held every other year. Taking place March 28-29, the event offers the opportunity to network, discuss ideas, and share experiences with PhD students as well as senior researchers.

The theme for the year is Lättvikt lyfter svensk konkurrenskraft – för en hållbar värld, and the topics of the sessions are as follows:

Hur skapar vi värdecirklar inom lättvikt?
Hur kan lättvikt bidra i fler branscher?
Hur når vi lättvikt genom multifunktionalitet?
Hur viktig är lättvikt för resurseffektivisering?

Presenters

Pasi Kangas, VP Technology, Sandvik Additive Manufacturing
Presenting "Smartare resursanvändning genom additiv tillverkning och smart design", 3.45 p.m., March 28.

After earning his MSc in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University in Sweden, Pasi Kangas has built a solid background with more than 25 years’ experience in various positions at Sandvik, such as Head of R&D at Sandvik Materials Technology (now Alleima). He is currently the VP of Technology at Sandvik Additive Manufacturing where he, among many things, focuses on the development of the division’s production technology and business strategy.
