The Euro PM2021 Virtual Congress & Exhibition, is organized by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) and will be held online for the second year from 18th to 22nd October 2021.
The Euro PM2021 event is the principle European platform for the powder metallurgy community with a series of plenary, keynote, technical oral & poster presentations, as well as Special Interest Sessions. This year Sandvik Additive Manufacturing will be providing more presentations than at any other powder metallurgy event, covering the material properties of Laser-Powder Bed Fusion processed super-duplex stainless steel and cobalt-free maraging steels. Contributions to the Special Interest Seminar on Sustainability of Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) and Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing. And finally, a novel light-weight, nickel-free austenitic stainless-steel material designed for MIM, will be launched in collaboration with BASF GmbH.

Presenting ”Special Interest Session: Comparison of Laser Powder Bed Fusion, Binder Jet & MIM for Stainless Steel Alloys” and ”Special Interest Session: Sustainability of Inert Gas Atomised Powders for Additive Manufacturing and MIM”.
Paul Davies studied physics at Swansea University, Wales, U.K., and completed a PhD in the field of Material Science. He has five years’ experience working in the steel industry in the automotive and defense sectors and has been with Sandvik for more than 14 years. He specializes in powder metallurgy, with a particular focus on Metal Injection Molding and Additive Manufacturing.
