Additive By Sandvik: Plan it – Print it – Perfect it
In the two seminars held by Sandvik Additive Manufacturing, we will take you through Sandvik’s three-phase process of additive manufacturing: Plan it – Print it – Perfect it.
Part 1: Material Matters
Choosing the right material, for your component as well as for your AM process, is essential to succeed in additive manufacturing. In this seminar we will focus on material selection by highlighting a few selected materials from Sandvik Additive Manufacturing’s market-leading range – including 3D-printed cemented carbide, diamond composite and Osprey® 2507 super duplex.
Sep 27, 10.45-11.05, the Haglund room
Sep 28, 09.45-10.05, the Göransson room
Sep 29, 13.15-13.35, the Haglund room
Part 2: Design for 3D Printing
Additive manufacturing offers freedom of design, enabling complex geometries while minimizing manufacturing steps and material waste. In this seminar we will turn our attention to design, focusing on its importance in additive manufacturing, as well as in post processing. The seminar will also feature selected customer cases, showcasing industrial components 3D-printed by Sandvik.
Sep 27, 13.30-13.50, the Wirfelt room
Sep 28, 15.15-15.35, the Haglund room
Sep 29, 14.45-15.05, the Göransson room
The tour begins in our highly automated powder plant, producing Osprey® titanium powder as well as nickel-based superalloys. This is where we create the ground-breaking powders that play a vital part in the industrial revolution that is additive manufacturing (AM).
The second part of the tour will take place at Sandvik’s Additive Manufacturing Center where you will meet with our leading experts and be taken through a wide range of AM processes for metals or hard materials: Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF), Binder Jetting, and Stereolithography.
